Create words in this Tetris-meets-Crosswords-meets-Scrabble word game!

WordTrix contains the original Classic mode as well as a brand new Zen mode!

Classic Mode
In Classic mode, when you start a new game, one letter at a time will fall from the top of the screen to the bottom. The object of the game is to make the letters fall in such a way that they spell a word. The words can be any English word from 3-6 characters in length, and can be arranged either top-to-down or left-to-right, just like a crossword puzzle!

Zen Mode
In Zen mode, you are given all the time you need to drop the letter from the top to the bottom.  You can be extra careful to drop that letter into just the right spot, without feeling any pressure.  That being said, you will start this mode with 3 rows of random letters, and each turn you take decreases your power bar.  When the power bar is emptied out a new row of random letters is added from the bottom.  But don't worry, this is just to make things a bit more interesting!

WordTrix recognizes almost 30,000 words!

There is an extra incentive for finding words within words. You will get points for every word contained within the word! For example, if you spell 'CRAMPS', you will get points for 'CRAMPS', 'CRAMP', 'CRAM', 'RAMP', 'RAMPS', 'AMP', and 'AMPS'

Game Seed IDs

Now you can challenge your friends and family by sending them the unique game ID shown on the main menu before playing!  If they enter in your game seed to their own game, the same letters will fall down in the same order.  Now you can really see who is the better WordTrix player!

High Scores

Right now you have to create an account in order to save your high score to the online tables.  I'm looking for a good way for users who are not signed in to be able to participate in the high scores, but that's not ready yet.

Controls

You can use the left and right arrow keys to control the letters as they drop, or you can be a little more precise with the mouse to drag anywhere on the screen.  In Classic mode you can hold the down arrow button to move the key down faster.  In Zen mode you just need to tap the down arrow once to drop the letter (no need to hold the down arrow key).

Early Access

Please note that WordTrix is still actively in development.  The future plans we have for this are:

• Sound off and on toggling
• 5 or 10 minute game modes for a quick game
• Achievements (non-Steam and Steam)
• New kinds bonus blocks
• New modes
• WordTrix in another languages (French, Spanish, and more!)
